How to Get Your Spotify Data Export

A step-by-step guide to requesting and uploading your Spotify data

Why do I need to do this?

  • Starting March 9, 2026, Spotify is removing track identifiers (called ISRCs) from their API.
  • ISRCs are how we match your Spotify tracks to the same songs on Tidal and other platforms.
  • By uploading your Spotify data export, you give us the metadata we need to keep your syncs accurate.
  • This typically takes your match rate from ~70% to 96%+.

How to request your data from Spotify

  1. Go to spotify.com/account/privacy
  2. Scroll down to "Download your data"
  3. Select "Extended streaming history" for the most complete data
  4. Click "Request data"
  5. Spotify will email you when your data is ready (usually 5–30 days)
  6. Download the ZIP file from the email link

The "Account data" option also works, but "Extended streaming history" gives us more data to work with for better matching.
